Onkyo Unifier remote just died
I recently found my old Onkyo RI universal programmable remote RC-AV70M. This is an older '90's unit.
I popped batteries in it and it still works after several years in storage. It also still controls many functions of my modern Onkyo receiver.
I was able to program it by shooting IR from another remote to this one, as intended. Life was good, I was going to program it with all sorts of codes for other IR devices but yesterday it stopped working. It won't power on the basic Onkyo stuff, and the only time it does any thing is if I hold a button and both the 'learning' and 'press matching keys' LEDs light up at the same time.
Does anyone know how to reset these older remotes?
I have searched google far and wide, and all the suggestions are to press and hold a button, and then press something else.. But those buttons do not exist on this unit.
One site says this unit came with the receiver TSSV70 and TSSV70PRO, but I don't remember.
I really prefer this older remotes because they can learn any code you can blast at it with another remote. Not just learning by programming preinstalled codes.
Thanks for your help!
