My favorite video game is 1990s Gran Turismo 1. Because this game brought back my fond memories.

Halo: Reach

I get a lot of flak for it, but Bungie's final Halo, Reach, is my favorite game of all time. Halo is my favorite series, so I'm a big Master Chief fan and everything, but there was something about the game's storytelling. The atmosphere. Knowing the planet was going to fall, seeing your squad go down one-by-one, but Noble 6 still pushed through for the greater good. Plus, multiplayer was great, as usual.

Atari 2600 & 5200: too damn many but simple games got rotated around a lot
Nintendo: Super Mario Bros, Contra
Apple II: Ultima IV, Autoduel, Seven Cities of Gold, Karateka
Macintosh: Dark Castle, MacRisk (fricking classic), Reach for the Stars
Sega Saturn: Virtual Fighter, Panzer Dragoon
Playstation: Twisted Metal 1 and 2 (TM2 - still love it and own a PS1 just for this game)
PC: Halflife, Battlefield 2, Doom, Zork I was kind of memorable
Xbox and Xbox 360: GTA Vice City (I wish they'd just update this one - I have no interest in any of the others although I do play them some), Morrowind (very addictive), Halo series, Lego Batman and other Legos (fun with the kids)

ALLTIME: Super Mario Brothers, Twisted Metal 2, GTA Vice City, Halflife, Battlefield 2, Ultima IV

Note that I've avoided the later Elder Scrolls games due to them being too good to put down and haven't touched MMORPG as I like good RPGs enough that I don't want to involve myself here either. Avoiding Everquest on launch day has been a good career move. I also don't have the time to these days and at various periods in life to really immerse myself in a variety of games. I owned a grand total of 3 NES games.

Panasonic 65" VT60 (calibrated by Jeff Meier), Marantz 6005, Kef Q towers/rears Kef Reference center, Win 7 Pro with XBMC, Harmony Ultimate One
Xbox Live: Arbitrage XXL

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is my all time favorite.

As far as the most time spent on a game? The Halo series.

Boy, that's tough.

Growing up, definitely Super Mario 3. (SNES) and Pokemon Yellow (GameBoy)

(Still) growing up, Super Smash Bros. on my N64.

Stopped playing video games for a few years, but for the past two years, Batman: Arkham Asylum and City, Far Cry 3, Last of Us, and a few others come to mind.

Yippee-ki-yay...

I've always been a big fan of the NCAA Football games. It's a shame that we will probably not see one for quite a while.

1980s
-----
Parsec, TI Invaders, The Attack, Moon Mine (big TI-99/4A gamer from that decade), didn't play the NES until the 1990s, so I'll place the games from NES, SNES, and PC there.

1990s
-----
Super Mario Bros. 3, Paperboy, Gauntlet II, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III, Super Mario World, Doom Series, Duke Nukem 3D, Quake II, and many EA Sports titles.

2000s
-----
Half-Life 2, Saints Row 1, Saints Row 2, GTA Vice City, GTA San Andreas, Doom 3, SWAT 4, Quake III Arena, Unreal Tournaments 2004 and 3, and Counter-Strike Source.

2010s
-----
Duke Nukem Forever (it's better on PC than anyone thinks), Saints Rows The Third and IV, GTA IV (have not gotten into V yet, that's coming, though), and Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Living Room: Samsung UN46A750 46" ToC 1080p, Yamaha HTC-6160 AV Receiver, JBL Cinema 480 5.1 Speakers, Magnavox HDD/DVD Recorder, Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300HD.
Master Bedroom: Sony KDL-55W950B 55" 1080p, Sony HT-XT1 Soundbar, Xbox One, Scientific Atlanta 8300HD
