Atari VCS

Hey Gamers!

Came across the Atari VCS randomly on YouTube the other day. Gotta admit, I'm curious! Not a big gamer, but sounds like this might be more than just a game station.

Any thoughts from anyone on this?

It's cloaked in secrecy. Not a lot of info out there yet. I am beginning to think it may be some sort of emulation station.

This space for rent!

It's definitely got my interest, largely nostalgic....

I don't understand the question. Atari VCS is the name the system had before it was rebranded 2600. If you mean something else, then you should post a link.

I'm kinda interested in this device. It can be preordered on 5/30, and we should know the full specs at that time. However, it is still a year away from actually getting.

Same here! I'm very interested. Not a real gamer, but I think this could be fun for a guy like me.

Should be lots of possibilities with this. Many unannounced yet- but given the year until release, we'll see.

Lot of hate on the project from people thinking it will just either be unreleased and a scam, or a basic box that serves no purpose.

I think it will end up being quite a bit more, and quite successful- but what does anyone here have to say given this post was last updated well before the Indigogo started.

Anyone buy one?

You can't buy them yet. You can dump your hard-earned money into the hope that it comes out next year though.

They were busted, and then admitted that the console isn't working yet and the videos they have shown of game play are not actually being ran on the console.

They look cool at least, but I've pretty much checked out on consoles that require internet access.
