Hdmi Ports Fried

Just faced a bad problem!

My PC's Nvidia 2080ti hdmi output, respective receiver hdmi input and receiver hdmi output along with the projector's hdmi input port and fans are not working!

Dunno what happened, was using the system the previous day without any problems and the next day when I switched it on I found out the above ports were not working. I switched off all appliances the previous day so dunno what could have caused the issue... how can a surge occur and affect systems when all the systems were switched off??!!??!?

Similar thing happened previously when there was a power cut but the systems were "on" during that time, but this time everything was switched off completely so dunno what could have caused this!

Please let me know how I can prevent this issue furthermore!!!!
