    Hi Scott,

Your surrounds are JBL 8330's I believe. What are your overheads?

Someday, before I die, I'll post all my family albums (the ones I have left because most of them were stolen). Those are the pictures I cherish the most, and all my travelling pictures...black & white. But again here too, most of them were stolen; like from when I was a baby and from my grand grand parents. What I got left is just from the last few years.

My sound systems are very humble, I get by. Most of my gear was stolen, about $75,000 worth. What I have left is only from the last decade or so, and worth less than 25 grands.

So, my feeling about posting pictures has vanished from a long time ago now; there is no emotional satisfaction, nothing to be proud of. Just don't tell anyone, I don't think they would understand. But I appreciate others feeling good about sharing pictures; because I used to. So it's all good as I respect everyone's choice.

    Have a great week Scott.

    Scott,

I am buying 4 HST-18 to use as near field subs behind my seats. From reading on different threads it looks like the enclosure needs to be about 4.5 cu ft. I have 3 Danley DTS-10'S with the LMSR12 UPGRADE up front. I was wondering if you could use that program to see what dimensions I should go with. You know length x with x height. I have d_c going to build my enclosures for me. Thanks in advance.

At least they did not make me start over with zero post count, like they did to me in 2011. If I had my post count from when I was mjg100 added to my current post count, I would be over 20k posts and not look like I joined in 2011.

Was not by choice. Forum has had a policy change and now the only way (until this is resolved) to get my contact information out there is if posters let guys know to give us a call. :(

Hi Scott, thanks for the tip on the Crowson system, I am hot on the trail, the Canadian distributor is checking stock for me. The level 2 kit is the one I am after:D

I have read all the forum posts on the subject, and as the singer sang...I'm feelin' good

    Hi Kwikas!

I am very happy with the arrangement of JBL 2226's. There is way more midbass capability then I'll ever need and that's the way I wanted it. :p Seriously, a single 2226 is more than enough for most people and even dual 2226's is enough for any serious basshead. I went with quad because they were sealed and wanted lots and lots of headroom. Plus I got extras (after buying six) for a good price and it just sounded ridiculous and fun. :D

Either option you are considering will be a ton of bass. No matter which configuration you end up with, neither will be a poor choice. I'd go with what is financially and practically sound for you.

And yes it is a lot of drivers and being fully active it will be daunting to set up the first time but after that it's like any other system to operate.

    Good luck!

    Hi Scott.
Are you still running 4 x 2226's in your L/F cabs up front? If you are, are you happy with this arrangement or would you make changes to it any way?
I'm thinking of running 4 x 2226's in the L/F section of my centre channel (and 2 x 18's in the L/F boxes for left and right mains).
    Alternatively, I could run 2 x 18's in the centre and 1 x 18 for each left and right....or 2 x 15 for each left and right.
I have the drivers, I'm just debating which way to go so asking someone who is into low frequency such as yourself might be a help in determining what I do.
I've probably got too many drivers and it's confused me:)
    Cheers Andrew
