Yes I pointed my new to me contractors van west and drove 600 miles on Friday for my next project. But tragedy Struck, Read on!
Background the room was built some time ago, 12-10 by 22-2. Room within a room all around, new ceiling joists. Rubber underlay and Wood Sub-floor. THREE layers of 5/8 DW + GG on clips and channel. All this work was done by a local contractor. I flew out for a day in March of this year to meet with the contractors and discuss how to use the soundproofing products, we even got Ted White on the speaker phone to review the basic room plan and confirm the spacing of clips for the massive walls and ceiling.
Equipment is a treasure chest of goodies
Seaton catalyst 12c for the front 3.
JTR Orbit shifter LFU Sub
Procella P6V Surrounds x 6
SeymourAV Centerstage XD curved screen
Projector Undecided
in September Vikgrao asked for the basic layout service and a Basic design by Byrne and Erskine was developed based on an inspiration photo from a French company. later an Acoustical plan was developed by Dennis and a big shipment of 2 inch Quest panels, including four for the ceiling arrived.
What? you are asking is the tragedy? quite simply this morning my camera issued a fatal error message that let me know that if was not going to work without a repair. After some research I discovered that there is actually a service bulletin on the issue.
So today as we reviewed the plans, made a trip to Lowes for riser and stage framing lumber and started construction I had no way of documenting our progress. After work today I headed over to Sam's club and spent some of today's pay on a new camera. Tomorrow I will place catch up on the photos.
Preview, The stage will have curves, it's asymmetrical, Has two levels, and Rope light.
Fast forward a slew of completed theater pics.
