I've had a HK 645 for about 8 years, and one day it locked up. I tried the obvious, unplugging it, doing a "hard" factory reset, etc. It powers up, you can hear the fan working, and the screen "works" it's just locked into the startup screen where every icon is illuminated.
In my experience...
My HK AVR 645 is acting up and I can't seem to figure it out. It doesn't respond to any inputs, either via remote or even turning the volume knob. No sound. I tried to reset to factory settings by putting the unit in "standby", then pressing the "surround mode group" and "tuning mode selector"...
