Found a 5 speaker Klipsch R3 set - mid, 2 fronts, 2 surrounds, for $600. From what I've seen spec-wise these are comparable to the RF82 fronts / RC62 mid. Is that about right? Assuming they work and aren't blown (checking them out tomorrow), anything I should be wary of? Is an Onkyo TX-SR606...
I have about $1,500 to spend for a new surround sound setup for my living room. I can go up a little in price if needed. If I can get a much better setup for $2,000 I'm all ears.
- Two rear speakers
- Two front speakers
I'm also open to towers...
Here is my current set up:
Pioneer vsx 1021 reciever
Klipsch reference rb 61 as fronts
Klipsch synergy b20 as backs
I was running an energy cc10 center Chanel but I was wondering if I need to upgrade and match the fronts. With a reference rc 62 or rc 52?
Is there much of a difference?
Hey guys I am setting up my home theater in a 12' W x 20' L x 8' H room and I'm getting what I think is a good deal on these 5.1 speaker systems.
Option 1. Klipsch RF82II X 2
Klipsch RS 52II X 2
Option 2. Def Tech BP 8040 X 2
Def Tech CS 8040
I'm focused first on determining my best options for LCR, then finding surrounds to match. I understand that I'll need to do some demoing (probably at my local Magnolia), but I'm looking for some initial direction; I'm not sure what qualities I should be looking for. As an example, I'm not sure...
Im talking sensivity-wise.
-Q300 sensivity- 87db
-Take classics sensivity-89 db
Is this a downgrade???
My Denon-1713 gets hot while playing a lot of music from the take classics, I thought better speakers with high specs would solve the problem (less power). But I see the pair...
Of all the years I've been into this hobby, I've only came here while doing research on gear. I would google some thing and I would read a post from someone on that piece. Only recently have I signed up, boy have I been missing out! So many people that share the same passion as me. Yea I have...
I use a couple of RB-61iis now as my mains. I like them but would like a bit more output.
The center now is a RB-52ii. It does sound pretty good but I could use a more of the same there also so I ordered myself a RB-62ii.
I had the idea of using three RC-62iis across the front because of...
is the rc-62ii worth the big price increase over the rc-52ii
the rc-52ii would have a much better WAF
but I would rather be sure to have a speaker i will not need to up grade again
I now have a jbl es center I am guessing both would be a much better center over what I have now
my mains are...
This is a brother thread to the "I'll demo my subwoofer for other enthusiasts" thread started by Archaea here...
Brilliant idea of getting AVS members in touch with each other and an easier way of hearing speakers, especially since...
Hi guys. I currently have a Klipsch RC-52 center speaker and I'm thinking about upgrading to a RC-62. Someone here told me they would be a better match to my RF-82 floor speaker. I run my speakers on a Denon AVR-790 (no external amps). I don't know if it's worth it, if yes, why? Could I hear...
Let here from all the Klipsch owners. Likes or dislikes about Klipsch? I update a lot of my equipment in the last few months. I have the RF-83 mains, RC-64 center,RF-82 rears and Infinity SM152 for the back speakers. Veloydne DLS-5000 and a Klipsch KSW-200 for subs. A Sony STR-DA7100ES...
