Hi all -
I have a polk Cs10, looking to get the Cs20 but i read somewhere that i can use a bookshelf for the center channel.
I have an extra pair of polk m 40's and thought i'd try it out.
So... my question is are the gains/losses by doing this?

This is my current home theater 7.1 set up:

Hello all. I've currently just purchased 2 monitor 70s cs2 center, bic pl200 and monitor 40 rears. I'm looking to get into a new receiver and can't decide. Here's what I'm looking for.
Great music quality over movie sound
Good picture quality
A little bit of future proofing...
So I've got a Monitor 5.1 setup-25c (center), Monitor 70's (mains), 35 b's (surrounds). I feel that my Denon AVR 1613 is a little lacking for the Monitor 70's especially for music. What stereo power amplifier would you recommend for them or would you recommend a more powerful receiver? Keep in...
I know you guys have probably had this post a thousand times but I just haven't found it yet because I am new to this forum. I need to get a sub for my HT setup. I have a Polk Monitor setup with Monitor 70's as my fronts, a 25c as my center, and 35b's as my surrounds. I live in a single wide...
First time posting I am looking for some advice for my home theater for a new Receiver. I currently am running an Onkyo SR508 that just is not doing the job anymore for my new speakers. Front Speakers are Polk Monitor 70s, Rear Speakers are Polk Monitor 60s, Center Speaker is a...
Hi all -
Just got the Denon as a gift.
How's it compared to my Yamaha? , I feel like the Yamaha is under powereing my speakers - Polk 70s and 40s & Cs10 & BIC f12s X2.
One of these recievers will go upstairs for a basic 3.1 set up but want to keep the best for my home theatre.
Hi everyone I Currently Own a onkyo tx sr805... Looking to upgrade within the next six months or so (receiver and speakers). I really dont know much about speakers and I'm trying to upgrade my Polk monitor 70s. I want a beginners high-end system.... If that makes sense lol.. I honesty have no...
I have some nice Monitor 70s matched-up with the CS2 now, but the wife really hates the way they look and wants something smaller. What bookshelf speakers can I get that would sound good?
I was thinking maybe the Polk Audio Monitor40 Series II Two-Way Bookshelf Loudspeaker (Black) Pair?
Are these a risky buy? Is the quality as good as new...hard to believe they would be? Thanks.
or open box
I currently have an Onkyo TX-NR509 and while it's been a good little receiver I'd like to upgrade to something a little more powerful with more features. I have a few requirements. It needs to be at least 7.2, convert composite / component to HDMI and have an auto config similar to Audyssey and...
Both of these speakers are on my local Craigslist for basically the same price. I want them to be the front speakers in a living room that will be primarily be played in stereo. I have an old set of rt400 that I like. Not sure if the three driver arrangement of the 70's would be better than the...
