Hi, I'm new to the forum and projectors in general. I purchased the pt7000 approx 2 months ago and with only 98 hrs on the lamp it died. The Power Indicator is a solid red with the Lamp Indicator flashing red. I removed and inserted the lamp to ensure a proper fit with no success. The...
  2. Digital Projectors - Under $3,000 USD MSRP
We just moved into a home that has the theater room that's in my avatar. It's prewired and I'm just looking for a cost guesstimate of what I should budget for a good projector, decent speakers and a good screen. I have a nice receiver that I'm not using for anything else so I don't need to buy...

Hi, I own a Panasonic PT-AE7000 for 9 months now and I noticed something very annoying when I am watching a movie from the Apple TV: about every minute, there is a slow motion effect that stays for 1 or 2 seconds (only in the image, sound is always OK). It's not always noticeable but it's...

Can anyone tell me if the pannys lens memory works when whatching 3D movies? Also will there be black bars on a 2:35:1 screen if you are watching a 2:35:1 movie? Just wandering cause I know its a 16:9 projector or will you still have to stretch it with the lens memory. Thanks,
  7. Digital Hi-End Projectors - $3,000+ USD MSRP
Tech support for this panasonic unit has been absolutely horrible, they wont provide an update and I have been without the unit for over 2 weeks. It broke after 7 months. If you have an issue, good luck. There is no way to get information and once you reach a live person they are useless!
  8. Digital Hi-End Projectors - $3,000+ USD MSRP
Just installed my new PJ and there is a lip sync problem that I never experienced with my previous two PJs from Panasonic. Is there an adjustment for video delay that I just can't find on this PJ?
  9. Front Projectors Great Found Deals!
I stopped in at Vision Electronics (Canada) today and was originally looking at the Epson 3010 or 5010. Then the guy showed me the Panasonic AE7000U and we started talking about prices. He ended up coming down to $2300 on the projector with a free bulb. And then he was going to sell me 4 3D...
  10. Digital Hi-End Projectors - $3,000+ USD MSRP
I just got the PT-AE7000u, I have it mounted on ceiling displaying on a 125" (2.35) dragonfly screen. I was able to set everything up and adjusted the auto memory features. If I put in a 2D movie the projector auto adjust from 16.9 to 2.35 with any problems. The problem I'm having is when I put...

Would someone please help me figure out which is a better choice? I am looking to build a home theater in my basement and need some help in choosing the right projector. The room in the basement is pretty dark. The projector would be about 18' from the screen and I'm looking to install a 120"...
  14. Digital Hi-End Projectors - $3,000+ USD MSRP
I realize it may be a few months early for this question, but do you think the cost savings of a laser projector not needing a "lamp" replacement for 20000 hours vs 2000 hours for your typical projector is worth the jump in price. I will have a 16x12 room with a ~120" AT 2.39:1 screen in a...
  15. Ultra Hi-End HT Gear ($20,000+)
I went for a high end projector back in 2004, and purchased the Sim2 HTlink projector. It has been good, albeit with consistent problems getting it to come on. I sent it back 2 different times for the issue, and it never was resolved. I turn it on; the bulb comes on for a few seconds, then goes...
  16. Digital Projectors - Under $3,000 USD MSRP
I'm approaching the point where I'll need to decide on either buying another (4th) lamp for my AE2000 or replace it with an AE7000 or, perhaps, AE8000. I'm interested in using 3D as a novelty, but haven't fully bought into the technology. I'm a novice, but understand that the 3D is evolving...
  17. Digital Hi-End Projectors - $3,000+ USD MSRP
Hello Everyone, I have searched all I could on here and cannot seem to figure out which projector to go with. I have a basement home theater room that is also used as a game room. It's 55 feet long and 15 wide so throw isn't an issue. It also has windows but I will be working on treatment for...

Ok, this has happened to me on my 4000u and now the same thing on my 7000u and it's really pissing me off. Here's the deal, I shut off my projector at night and leave the theater room only to find out the next day or two that the projector actually turned back on (probably my harmony remote)...

  20. Digital Hi-End Projectors - $3,000+ USD MSRP
After months of trying to post my crosstalk images, I finally was able to do it. The pics aren't very good but I think you can still see the ghosting. They were taken through the left lens of the 3rd generation Panny glasses using a Panny 310 Blu Ray player. It make no difference whether I use...
