Hi everybody. I want to connect my old Rotel RA-985BX stereo amp to my NAD surround receiver. Goal is to use the Rotel for the left and right stereo sound (attach a CD-player and streamer) and the NAD for everything else (surround sound).
I used a decent cinch cable to connect the Pre-Out of the...
Not sure if anyone on here has used this feature but I was just wondering how it went? Did you plug all your analog sources into the Marantz? Did you leave your subwoofer plugged into the AVR?
Sorry if this has been discussed before but I couldn't find a thread on it.
After reading the books by Toole (Sound Reproduction: The Acoustics and Psychoacoustics of Loudspeakers and Rooms) and Geddes (Premium Home Theater : Design & Construction) I have a few residual questions. It is very likely that I did not comprehended 100% of what I read and that these leftover...
I have a question about bi-amping. I am thinking about getting 2 tower speakers for my audio system. I need to get 4 channel amp as I currently have 2 channel amp for my 2 bookshelf speakers. But as I reading and watching videos online I see that bi-amping helps the tower speakers sound better...
I have a Denon 250BT and I have connected the same to my Samsung TV. I have a playstation, Chromecast and a record player connected to it in different inputs.
I bought an Amazon Fire Stick (India) yesterday and connected it straight to my receiver to my "Media Player" Input. So...
Gently used pair of 4670's, only ever been in a home theater and never saw commercial use. I ran these bi-amplified with active crossover and i do not have the passive network. You'll need a dsp/active xo like a DBX Driverack/Behringer DCX2496 or similar.
$1000 for this pair of two-way speakers...
Using an AVR for music?
I’m sorry if this has been asked loads but was wondering if it is ok to use an AVR for music. I mainly watch films but occasionally listen to a few albums. Also, would I get good bass using just the two front speakers without a subwoofer or would a subwoofer be needed...
I am looking for advice on a new amp and honestly I am not sure which way to go. I am looking for something a little more capable and better SQ than my current Onkyo TX-NR626 (which is really a HT AVR).
Speakers: A set of HiVi DIY 3.1s I recently finished. They are 4ohm...

Sonos Amp is expensive. What did I, a discerning audio enthusiast, do when they cannot justify the price of Sonos Amp? I searched for an alternative. After nearly a week of searching, I discovered the Arylic A50. I’ve been playing with it for a couple of days, and I’ve got some thoughts. To set...
I’m hoping you knowledgeable people can help me out.
I originally posted a thread seeking help on selecting a suitable AV receiver and speakers (fronts and centre) for a 3.1 setup. I was originally planning on getting a 7.2 receiver as I may (a very unlikely may) end up getting some surround...
As per the title.
Having experienced what Audyssey in my surround receiver can do to a stereo signal/output (small living room/big speakers= boominess), I wonder why modern stereo amps haven't incorporated Audyssey?
I've got a 3.0 system with a couple of JBL e100 front speakers (twin 10" bass) paired with a Denon avr3312.
For many years (and with different speakers) I swore that "pure direct" or "direct" was the better tonally balanced experience compared to Audyssey.
But these bass heavy JBL e100s seem...
