Looking for ideas on storage of gaming consoles and equipment. We have an Xbox Series X, PS4 pro, and Nintendo switch. I was planning to put these in the AV (server) rack with everything else, but when you throw in games, controllers, and other accessories, it takes up a lot of space in the AV...

Fair warning...long post from a newbie who has just done a LOT of reading. Also, yeah, im aware i could fix this by dropping another 3-5 grand on different equipment. I aint doin that. Lol Theory: HDCP licensing breakdown/incompatability causes audio type detection failure. On Xbox series X...

Good morning to all. I hope all is okay with you. I should probably start by saying that this is my first post on the topic and that it was motivated by a need. But I had hoped for much more from you. Guys, I'm having issues with my Xbox One gaming console from Microsoft; I'm unable to fix the...

Hey everyone, Encountering an odd issue where the HDR signal is not being received by the TV while playing games on Series X yet works fine for movies. I can’t see where I’ve gone wrong as the Xbox shows green ticks for everything. It even used to work with switching to Dolby Vision, however...

Hi All, I download the Dolby App, and changed the settings. The Xbox detects Atmos, but when I try to play content, I hear a cracking sound, and a little bid of sound. I've tried things suggested in different post through the net, swapped cables... Connection: from Xbox to Receiver, to TV...

  9. LCD Flat Panel Displays
This TV has major problems with slow dimming in Game Mode. It also has major issues with tone mapping and auto-contrast you cannot turn off, resulting in bizarre color changes and blurring. The internal apps seem to use HDR well, but anything connected via HDMI does not.
  10. Receivers, Amps, and Processors
Just got a new 4K TV... I understand my Yamaha HTR-6160 won't support 4K video, which is unfortunate. Besides replacing my receiver...is there any way I can run video from the Xbox to the TV and 5.1 surround from the 6160? The audio is terrific, but would love to take advantage of 4K. Any...

Hello! I've been driving the poor people in the QN90 thread crazy for a while so I thought I'd cut them a break. Many of us notice bizarre behavior in the local dimming which I am starting to think is tone mapping. See below Some experimenting has yielded turning contrast down from 50 to 40...

Hopefully this is the proper place for this as it seems as though this is the main component in my questions. I've had this same s/u for many years now but I'm wondering if I'm not doing it wrong. I'm wanting to take a step back and get some input from a bird's-eye-view on my current devices...

Hi All, I have the following equipment setup in my HT, used mostly for gaming and occasional movie watching: Xbox One X (no Series X yet :)). LG C1 OLED TV Denon AVR-X4400H AVR My question is regarding the auto output from the Xbox. I have the Xbox connected via HDMI directly to the OLED to...

Hi. I have a denon AVR-S910W, a 2015-ish model. I'm watching streaming services, playing Xbox/pc, and use YouTube tv. I have a 5.1 system setup. I notice that my system doesn't autodetect and change sound setting based on source. Perhaps this is normal. Anyway, what I want is for my...

Hey all! I've recently acquired myself an Xbox Series X which I have plugged directly into my Atmos capable Vizio 5.1.2 soundbar. The Xbox supports HDMI 2.1 and is connected to the soundbar via a 2.1 cable, but the soundbar only supports HDMI 2.0. Within the Xbox audio settings there are the...

Hey, really hoping this is right place to post this question since I'm new. I'm dealing with a bit of an issue with TV's for gaming, and honestly I'm getting to the point of not knowing what to do about this. I'm currently gaming on an Xbox One S console. I've been using an old TV for years now...
  17. Digital Projectors - Under $3,000 USD MSRP
I thought I remembered reading somewhere that the new HDMI 2.1 LG HU810P wouldn’t fully support all of the HDMI 2.1 features which would optimize it for the next gen game systems (such as ALLM and VRR). Is there any truth to that? Are there any other reasons that this wouldn’t be an ideal...
  18. LCD Flat Panel Great Found Deals!
So I have a vizio p-series quantum 75-inch...and trying to run a Xbox series x with it. Now I can get the full image quality, (minus the 4K 120, I think this is do to using hdmi 2.0). But I use the arc out to hit my samsung qr80 soundbar, not getting atmos or direct x passed on to it. If i...

Hi everyone hope you're doing well! I'm a new user to the forum so I apologize if I'm not posting correctly. About a year ago I purchased this tv (LG 65SM9000PUA) and I genuinely do love it. However when I bought it I actually didn't even know it had four HDMI 2.1 ports. I only checked after...

HI all - we stream 4k Netflix off of the xBox One X with Dolby Vision through a Nakamichi Shockwafe rated for 4k/Dolby Vision (7.1.4 Pro) to a 65" LG B7. Periodically it appears as if the HDCP handshake gets broken, and the screen will either go all snow until we restart the TV once or twice...
