I am looking at a 1.3 gain screen from a new company with some REALLY good prices www.fotodiox.com anyway they have a 1.3 gain for a great price electric or pulldown Which is better for a benq dlp?

One other question I am trying to decide between a 4:3 or 16:9 has anyone ever hung masking (some black material of some sort) below the screen casing?

Say a person hung 2 inches of black material along the bottom of the casing the width of the screen and you could buy a 4:3 screen and lower it to 16:9 or 4:3 and still have a black border along the top of the screen right?

Anyway help is appreciated!

I too would like some information on masking on a 4:3 screen. When I got my 6200, I also purchased a 4:3, Da-lite, matte white (gain 1.0), pull down 84-inch diag. screen. I am happy with the combo but I am curious if masking around the image would help for viewing 16:9 material. Actually, I know it would help, I just don't know how to do it yet. I have thought about felt and velcro arounnd the border with different sizes for each AR.

By the way, I think the gain values that are published with certain screens are not very reliable. See the following projector central article: http://www.projectorcentral.com/home...er_screens.htm

Anyway, because the 6200 is such a bright projector, I think the lower the better (depending on the ambient light).
