Umdivx, thanks for the response.

Well, before I switched to the IN72 from the 4805 my desktop was 848X480 @ 48hz (actually it was 47. XXX hz). Right now I believe it is running [email protected] hz but that is because I have messed with it trying to get it to work. I am running an older Radeon 9500 pro card, the same card I have been running for a few years. The OS is XP SP2 running on a P4 1.6G machine. I am running Theatertek as my DVD player and I use powerstrip. I had all of this working for a few years and was able to pixel map once I upgraded from an X1 to a 4805. Unfortunately, or fortunately it worked so well all of this time that I haven't messed with it. I seem to have forgotten how I set it up for pixel mapping initially. I have searched but have not come up with te settings. I believe Jason, Dagamepimp, posted the setting I used initally but I have not been able to find them using the search engine. I also seem to recall there being a fix for the scrolling desktop, but again I have forgotten what that was.

Best,

Ed

I have the IN72 in the family room, hooked to one of my HTPCs running a 7950GT. My desktop is just set to 1280x720, MCE recognizes it, the Video card recognizes the projector at that resolution, and the text is sharp. Now, I haven't even "tried" to do 1:1 mapping. Why? Because 1280x720 works!

It's perfectly readable from the couch (not that I use it for anything else other than video too much), and the video card scales my output to that. My outputs include, SD DVDs, pictures, live TV (from an HDHomeRun), recorded shows in HD etc. No issues for me.

kapone, thanks fo the response. I had my 4805 running 1280x720 initially from my HTPC but I felt that 1:1 pixel mapping looked a little better, not night and day difference but better nontheless. Question, are you running your IN72 in Native mode or 16x9 for the HTPC input?

Thanks,

Ed

The IN72 Native mode IS 16:9.
