So... if you notice the picture I have a 10" Lava subwoofer on a "diy" riser. I say "DIY" because, well, it's just Styrofoam! It's very hardy styrofoam, however. It's 9cm thick as well.


I really just did this to test things out. I've never used sub risers before and I've never even had a home audio setup before with subs.


So my question is, if I were to make some real DIY sub risers with wood and the proper sound matting how much more could I expect? Frankly, I don't know if these styrofoam things did anything
.
