This makes 2 million in total so far. I'm pretty surprised they reached that number in Japan so quickly when Japan started off with half of our units here.

it might seem a lot now, but you got to keep in mind that it is only sold in US and Japan now... Most of next month's production will go to Europe.


There are 35+ titles being published between now and end or march, most of them between feb 25th and march 25th, so that will be the test on how good PS3 will sell...


Not to mention gazillion new movies coming out by then as well.

Its a lot considering that the launch only had 80k 2 months ago. They really did start pumping them out hardcore.

Definitely a lot and not the disaster Half-Life's Gabe Newell has said it was.

He's a PC guy though and has made negative comments about all of the consoles.

we should see real japanese demand figures now that they have the units... this weeks console sales numbers should be interesting. I hope they can sell over 100k units
