If they were as "Creative" about writing their drivers as they are about coming out with new products, I might bite.

Yeah, that thought crossed my mind as soon as I started reading the article. That goes for both 3dlabs and Creative. I remember having cards with 3dlabs processors and driver releases were as slow as molassis. But hey, it's nice to see the "potential" for someone to enter such a locked market and influence some change.

Not only will it have 10-bit DAC's, but also it will have 64-bit color. Can anybody say "281,474,976,710,656 colors!" (assuming 48-bit color plus alpha channels). This just may turn out to be the next-gen HTPC video card of choice. Time will tell...
