Ok guys I just got a 1031q yesterday!! Seems to be a pretty popular entry level projector around here. Anyway I read over eboyz site and ran through a few quick settings just to get a halway decent picture. The problems I ran into were screen size, the screen was as big as the white bed sheet. 8ftx5ft. The picture was halfway decent so I can only imagine how it will look with a smaller screen. I had the projector sitting about 125 inches back. Questions is what is the best 4x3 screen size length and width for this projector? Also how far from the screen to the front of the projecotr? Now how do you change the screen size. I read through the manual and noticed the projector seems to have shims or rings that adjust from 72" up to 100" I am alittle vague on that as I have seen lots of different sizes. Overall I am really happy with the purchase and seems like it will be lots of fun. I will say though with all the information posted and eboyz site my head is about to explode.

Thanks

Jimmy

you can download a manual at crtspecs.com that will answer any questions tha you might have, for a 100 inch picture(diagonal) you have to be 128.5 inches away from the wall , 72 inches(diagonal) the manual states that the bracket has to be 1001/8 inches from the wall and the front of the p.j93 inches from the screen, you also have a miriad of trim pots under the cover that you can manually adjust for horizontal/vertical sizes which are clearly stated in the manual, first go to rat shack and get yourself some plastic implemnts so your tweaking will be done in relative safety....good luck!
