Picked up an extra green and blue sd-187 tube on E-bay just in case something went wrong in my first attempt to de-fung my 1031q. The green tube that I have for backup has a much darker green fluid in it than the one I now have defunged. In fact the fluid that appeared to be a light green when inside the tube now after filtering looks more like it is blue.

Does anyone know whether the 1031Q uses red, green, and blue colored fluids. Should I be using the darker green fluid in the green tube and maybe the lighter green (blue) in the blue tube.

Thanks

Nope, buy clear fluid, don't reuse the old stuff.

If I end up doing a fluid swap then I am considering doing clear fluid with Kenny's color filters - sounds like a plan ;) .

John,

The colored fluid does not seem to make much of an impact on the tubes. I have had tubes that were colored, and newer ones that were clear. I'd go with clear, and try the filters.
