No one ever introduces their situation with their setup and I never know why, so here i go...

I bought a house within the last year. Since this is the main system, the rear surrounds (m71) are currently on loan from another setup. I like using the 7.1 setup when DJ'ing, but I also do a lot of 2.0 listening. I spend too much on music and movies.

Enjoy.

That was a lovely introduction.. brought a tear to my eye. The seats aren't too close to the screen are they?

Very impressive media collection!

As far as the components are concerned..... Nice configuration.

How do you like your Yamaha RX-V3800?! Has it performed to you expectations?!

Regards.

thanks! sadly, i don't think everything is pictured i need to slim down the archive a little. as for the RX-V3800, i love the unit. slight step up from the previous RX-V730... the big thing is 7.1 surround. when dj'ing, the rear back surrounds are kind of used as monitors. i haven't configured it for streaming media, which i've been meaning to do. i doubt i'll use it much, since i actually have a decent media collection
in a perfect world, i'd have a seperate setup for music and movies. i think down the road, i would consider a seperate amplifier and new subwoofer. new surrounds are the next though...
