Need help related to playing 1080 mkv files on XP SP3 system..

Whenever i play such file,screen goes black and cpu light on Motherboard is continuously on..pressing ctrl-alt-del(or any key combination) does not work..i have to restart the system again..

Can anyone help me out with the solution.My system specs are P4 2.4GHZ,756MB RAM

vid card is the default onboard...i.e Intel 82845G/GL Graphics controller....Also,iam using Media player classic which was installed alongwith K-LIte codecs pack...

Your system is too old (2002). You'd better buy a new system.

Yah for sure your system does not have enough power. I have a P4 with intel 915 graphics and it chokes on 720p.

You'll need a newer video card(e.g. ATI 5xxx series) + faster cpu (atleast dual core 2GHz & above)
