Does anyone know if the X1 uses it's de-interlacer for 1080i signals? I read that any signal on the VGA port bypasses the Faroudja however I also read that projectors require a progressive source.

it has a second deinterlacer for 1080i signals, not quite as good as teh faroudja tho. On the other hand, a 1080i signal is much easier to deinterace than a poorly flagged video based dvd signal.
