Hey guys... I was curious as to any opinions on what resolution to run the Xbox 360 when it's hooked up to the Sony KDF55-xs955. It's native resolution is strange, something like 766p, so I wasn't sure if I should run the 360 on 1080i or 720p?

I have a 55XS955 as well, using the component cables at 720p. It looks great. No ghosting, no motion artifacts with game play. Looks awesome.

I haven't tested it out as a DVD player as apparent it sucks. I use my standalone DVD player.

Yeah, I think the 720p looks incredible!

I only just got on these threads today. I guess I wasn't crazy when I thought the DVD playback is awful.

Unfortunately this TV is without VGA inputs.

So I chose 720p since my TV will take 720p and that is what the games are rendered at. Less conversion than going from 720p to 1080i to my TV's 766p.

I enjoy viewing 1080i better than 720p on my set. Of course I don't know if the extra 5 inches makes a difference.
