Hallo all.

I am sorry for posting this topic here, but I recently moved do Germany and have problems to find LCD here that have 1080p.

Can somebody tell me where can I buy Westinghouse 37" or Sceptre 37" 1080p monitors here in EU?

Or can someone suggest any other model that support 1080p resolution and that can be find here in EU?

I saw one plazma 50" panasonic with 1080p but it costs 6000 euro!!!!!

Thanks for answers and best regards

Westinghouse's HD monitors are currently only available in the continental USA. Canada does not yet have them or Puerto Rico, so never mind the EU.

Sceptre you might have a better chance, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Benq, possible.

Best bet would be the JVC 40" model; its from a name brand vendor likely to have in-place distribution channels in the lands of VAT. It is only twice the price of the Westinghouse instead of four-X of the (bigger) Panasonic.

Might be cheaper to fly to NYC, buy at a local store and take it back with you.

Or, you could wait two years until there are enough HD channels on that side of the pond for importers to bring over the big toys...

Good luck!

Hi,

do you mean a LCD-Tv with 1920x1080 resolution or a screen with this resolution which accepts 1080p signals?

If you are searching for the 1st, you can buy in Europe:

BenQ 37"

Philips 37" and 42"

Amoi 37"

Acer 37" (maybe not available yet)

But as far as I know they only accept 1080i.

If you want 1080p input you can look for:

Samsung 46" (around 8000 EUR)

Sharp LC-45GD1E (1080p not officially supported but with workaround it should work similar to the 45GX6U in the US) (about 6000 EUR)

The models you mentioned are not available in Europe.

Maybe there are some more in Q1 or Q2/2006.

This model does not support 1080p input signal. Only 1080i. Same as Benq 3750. The only one that supports 1080p is Amoi...
