I'm building basically a mobile cam setup and I need to capture a outdoor scene for 24 hours on as small of a budget as I can. I can be there to swap out memory cards and the loss of a few seconds to swap memory is ok, the camera power will be "pluged in" the entire 24 hour period is that something most cameras already support?

The camera will be mounted in one place and the focus will need to stay the same regardless of what might come in front of the camera. Down the road I will need a more professional setup I just need a "proof of concept" setup first.

I was thinking about the cheap 200$ cameras at a best buy or wallmart or will those be horrible for a outside daylight scene?

Thanks guys, I really really appreciate any help or pointers. I'm so new to the camera game i dont even own a digital camera
