1080p Westinghouse 37w1 - Signal Out of Range

I have a Radeon 9000 that I have connected to my Westinghouse VIA VGA. The adapter is selected to 1920x1080 60hz and I keep getting a Signal out of Range. If I use the DVI connector it displays correctly but VGA won't. I was thinking it might be a cable problem or small timming issue somewhere that is throwing the VGA part of the TV off. The westinghouse Tech Specs specifically state 1080p is accepted on the VGA port and 1080i as well. I connected the 9000 to a CRT monitor and it can display the signal. Any ideas on troubleshooting the Westinghouse?

Check Westinghouse 37w1 thread. I think somebody mentioned similar issue as yours? I think the solution was to lower frequency a bit to 59. Hz or something. I'm not sure, I use DVI as long as I can and don't remember details. I do remember 37W1 worked with my ATI card without any problems over DVi and now I have 37W3 also without issues but again DVi only.

Thanks pete, I will check it out right now. Keeping Fingers crossed. Otherwise this might be a valid reason to return and upgrade to the 42 incher.

Hey Pete, turned out to be the cable. It was 14 years old. The monitor it came with (a viewsonic 17) has outlasted the cable. I'm still using it today. Probably getting all sorts of weird radiation from it, maybe it will make me smarter!!! Thanks for the help.
