I recently purchased a Panasonic p50s1 plasma and a LG bd390 blu ray player.

Looking at the specs on the Panasonic it accepts both 1080p24 and 1080p60 signals but to quote from Cnet

"The S1 models lack the THX display certification, 1080p/24-friendly refresh rate"

The blu ray player gives you the option to send it's signal in 24hz or 60hz. Which would be better for my TV?

Would the same setting be true for when streaming Netflix?

Thanks in advance for your help

Yeah you're in the same boat as me.

My toshiba set is a 1080p60 set. IT takes a1080p24 input, but then converts the signal doing a 3:2 pull down on it to make it 60fps.

So in the end it doesn't matter, the 3:2 pull down from the source on the Disc can happen in the player or TV, it simply doesn't matter.

For netflix it depends a bit on the source some content is 60fps some is 24fps. I'd probably go 60fps from the player and let the TV figure it out.
