Eighth annual IHTA winners were announced at PCBC in San Francisco.
AMX and On-Q/Legrand are both taking home two Innovative Housing Technology Awards (IHTAs) after the 2008 winners were announced at the Pacific Coast Builders Conference (PCBC) in San Francisco.
The eighth annual IHTAs, presented by TecHome Builder, received a record 110 entries this year. The awards recognize significant advances and best practices by manufacturers, integrators and builders.
AMX's ViewStat Color Communicating Thermostat won for "Best Overall Home Tech Product" and "Advanced HVAC/Indoor Air Quality" in the Home Tech Supplier Award.
On-Q/Legrand won "Networking" for its Selective Call Intercom System and "Multiroom Audio/Video" for the lyriQ High Performance Audio System, both in the Home Tech Supplier category.
Crestron Electronics also won two awards: they tied for first in "Media Center/Server" with HP and won the "Window/Door Control" category with the C2N-SDC controller.
HP | Media Center/Server
The HP MediaSmart Server collects and protects all of your digital files - photos, music and videos (plus documents, presentations and spreadsheets) - and allows them to be found and enjoyed wherever you are in your home or across the world.
Sony | Multiroom Audio/Video
