Panasonic 4000 ceiling mounted

120" screen brand undecided

It looks like I have several options to do this. Please take a look at the picture and give me your input.

Ceiling height 94.5 inchesWall width 14'Seating distance 164"

~build a false wall infront of the window

Pros- i could hide the speakers
Con- Too many variables for a first time
builder..
~build a "floating wall in front of window

Pro- Somewhat simpler to build

Con- no wow factor..

What about a motorized screen or covering the front wall in curtains as a backdrop to the screen? Both would be easier to pull off than your options, in my opinion.

That would almost be too easy and I would like the HT look.

I should have metioned that it needs to be somewhat "kid friendly" and the red theater curtains would not work too well.

If you say so. We have floor length curtains in our theater and our kids don't even bother with them. Anyway, good luck with whatever solution you want to use.

Whoo hoo! I have a Da-Lite Cosmo electric 120" on the way!!

Matte White Finish

14" of extra drop on top

Recesed ceiling trim kit

The peerless mount came yesterday, and the Panny 4000U should be here in a week or two.

A electrician came yesterday and put all the sockets in the necessary places. This is a very exciting time for me,
