Hi everyone,

I have read some articles on the new 120Hz refresh rate feature. Some of the Sharp LCD TV models, upcoming Samsung 71 series and the Toshiba LX177 will incorporate this new feature.

I wonder if anyone did noticed the difference on their purchased sets, in other words, how significant this feature in the overall quality of the picture? Will it be worth taking the Toshiba LX177 over the Samsung 65F for example?

Thanks

Significance of 120Hz depends on content. Sports and video games look more sharp with 120Hz(minimal motion blur). I really hate motion blur on lcd's and i could even sacrifice 1080p resolution for good 720p 120Hz tv. Sharp owners didn't like d92U's 120Hz option with movies. Some reviews on other sets say that 120Hz mode works great on all content ,so i guess some 120Hz tv's work better that others.(sharp is currently only with 1080p) I can't say if i would take LX177 over 65f ,because LX177 is not released yet. But i would't take Sharp d92u instead of sammy 65F.(see sharp thread for it's issues) The next tv i buy will be either a 120Hz 1080p lcd or a plasma.
