12AWG & 16AWG Speaker wire

hey guys

im currently setting up my home theatre and i ran out of 12 Gauge speaker wire, i had 150 feet

can i use 16 Gauge speaker wire with my 2 fronts and center speakers? or will that mess everything up?

Having surrounds 1 size and mains and center another won't make any difference. The only thing to consider is if 16ga is sufficient for the power and distance you'll be using it for.
