I have a 1272Q that I got locally for a very reasonable price, I have it set up for front-projection and a medium sized screen, but of course the PJ has small shims and rear-projection grey Lens spacers. I have set up the PJ to the best of my ability, but the corners are quite out of focus. Enough of the sob story though. I am eventually going to do the moonyass lens-flapping mod to fix the lens spacing problem, but need to know the thickness of the CRT shims so I can fab up a replacement.
I really don't plan on doing this all this modding until a while down the road when I redo the basement and give the theater a 180 degree turn, but I'd love to know the shim info so I can get my head around it.
However if anybody wants to trade a set of Meduim shims+spacers for a perfectly good IFB-1000 input card I dont use, that would be great till I do the mods
