Wow, that's not bad at all. I thought they were multile times more expensive than the Plats.

Makes me wonder how they compare to the Quested and Alcons Ribbon options...

Edit: BTW, yours is more of a DIY option, correct? How much did they cost you if you don't mind me asking? Not including amps because I think I saw you mention running them active.

Only have about 7k in them, since it was all my labor and I have all the tools needed. Not counting amps nor baffle wall build. There is quite a bit of labor with all of it.

Did you pay for the crossover design?

You might also add KEF Reference to audition. I can’t use a matching L/R for a center. The Reference 4C is a world class center and surpasses my prior Dynaudio Confidence set-up IMO. It really made my HT set-up.

I don’t have a dedicated room so some of the other suggestions are good. For a set-up in a standard living room where a traditional center is required the KEF Reference are the best I’ve had in my house.

Revel is also an excellent choice.

If you really want to watch the budget you may look at KEF R.

Couldn't agree more. You could get the Ref 3's and 4C new, or - especially given the volume of your room - Ref 5 or Blade 2 used, plus that same 4C center. These babies absolutely SING, and not only image like champs, but sound great pretty much all over the room (other...ahem...audiophile speakers can really fall apart image-wise once you're out of the bubble).

Good luck!
