I think the Sherwood Newcastle R-965 and R-865 ($2K and $1.5K list) have toroidal power supplies. www.sherwoodusa.com

Is toroidal supposed to be as good as A.D.E. MOS FET (used in Pioneer Elite)?

Torroidal is the name given to a donut shape. Sometimes torroidal transformers are used in power supplies. It is the transformers shape and has nothing to do with a MOSFET.

The benefits of a toroidial transformer are more power with smaller size and 40-50% less magnetical disturbance.

That's why some receivers with normal pack-EL-transformers do have shielding/faraday cage around the transf. For ex. NAD T743, T753, Denon AVR2105.
