Hope some one can help with this. I recently bought a 1909 and have been working through the manual to set things up. Generally, everything is working and I have also obtained a number of good tips from this forum. However, I am currently stuck with one issue relating to the bypass feature when the 1909 is switched to standby. I have the HDMI control switched on and sure enough when I'm in standby the audio from my PS3 is directed to the TV speakers but the sound is distorted. I assume that I need to adjust a setting on the 1909 to correct this but cannot find any information in the manual. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Try decreasing you audio resolution. The ps3 is capable of sending auido that may not be handled properly by your display. Have you hooked the PS3 directly to yhe display and the audio is fine? The AVR may be confusing the HDMi capability reporting if so.
