I have fought and fiddled with Powerstrip for quite awhile now and finally got 960x540p to work with my 57swx20b display. It does look really decent, but I was wondering if there is any benefit using 1920x1080i? I am hesitant trying another resolution. I came close to loosing the first one and I'd hate to mess it up again.

Thanks,

I have a 57GWX20B, and I have gotten 1080i to work. In general I would say, stick with 540p if you aren't planning to watch 1080i HDTV. The 1080i has many issue, and it is much more difficult to play video correctly due to the interlaced overlay problems.

Also, your desktop in interlaced mode is really ugly in my opinion.

However, if you do plan to watch 1080i HDTV content, then you can get help for doing 1080i here:

Or nearly any concievable resolution here:

Good luck.
