2.1 Home Theatre?

I would like to know if anyone can recommend a good 2.1 Home theatre system. I currently own a Bose 3-2-1 Home theatre system and am looking for something better. Thanks for your help guys.

not recomending but pointing out few options:

DENON - D-M71DVSXP

SAMSUNG MM-DS80 Compact Stereo Audio System

SAMSUNG HT-DS660T RRSS Home Theater in a Box Sound System (thats the one i'm looking to get once i can see it in real life)
I appreciate your help, I really liked what I saw online about the Samsung HT-DS660T - I look forward to it seeing/hearing it at Best Buy in the future.

The Niro Two6.1 looks awesome from what I read but it's a bit out of my price range for my simple family room setup. I'll save the $2,000 systems for my media room, but thanks for the tip none-the-less.

To your original post, the Samsung is a neat setup but I am not sure it is better sounding than the Bose. From what I've heard they are sonically on fairly even footing but it is a lot cheaper and probably has it beat on features.

check out jolida's website. you can pair a tube amp and some quality speakers, add a sub and you will be impressed with the sound.

.... and the relevance of this is???
I certainly agree with you that the Samsung has better features (at a lower price too!). The reason I'm looking for a change in systems is because the Bose 3-2-1 doesn't have a progressive scan dvd player. Since I just bought a Samsung DLP TV I'd like to get a progressive scan player to show off my new set. Also the the Bose 3-2-1 doesn't have any component or dvi outputs - it's best output is s-video, which isn't bad, but for the $800 I spent on it you'd think they'd include these features.

I suppose I could just purchase a separate dvd player and connect it to the Bose, but I need room for my cable box, hdtv box, X-Box, and PS2; so space is at a premium.
wdrazek,

the point is jolida's website has an article on quality ht 2 channel sound. the price is fair as well. my point was this could be another option.

Congratulations on your new Sammy DLP. Although it's easy to set up and uses sweet. Bose does lack a lot of features that other's take for granted, even at lower price points.

Best,
