I have an electric recessed 100" 4:3 screen and wish to make a second screen for dvd's.

I notice many discs are now available in 2.35:1 ratio.

So my question is:

Do I build a screen 45x80 or 35x80? (i'm leaning towards the 2.35:1).

If I were you, I'd spend your $$ and time on a variable masking system, that will give you much more flexibility than a new screen. All you really need to do is hide the letterbox bars, and there are dozens of great ways to do that in this forum.
