I recently picked up a Inwin BM639. It has a slim optical space that I'd like to use to hold a 2.5" drive. Can anyone point me to an option? The closest I found was here . While it is $8, shipping & handling pushed the price north of $30, which I find absurd. Any other suggestions?

For a cheap solution, have you considered Velcro? Yes, I am serious...

Damned odd that I can't find a decent review of that case anywhere on the web!!


Anyway, there's a 2.5 mounting position on the outside of the 3.5 mount, but I'm sure you've already used it. For the stated issue, I believe that case can use either a slim ODD or full size ODD. If that is the case, get a 5.25" to 2.5" adapter and use the large cage instead of the slim one.
