I’m planning on building Titian’s in the coming months. So I’m looking to have them be used for playing music from streaming and also for movies when watching tv. I believe I need a preamp with optical in from the tv? What preamp can you recommend? 1500$ budget I have an emo xpa2 1gen for now but either going to go with the new emo xpa-dr2 or prima Luna’s eventually.

The NAD C 658 works as a streaming endpoint for music, has Dirac room correction and you could even add their HDMI board later and use ARC instead of optical. A little over your budget at $1650.
