How do I connect two component video inputs to a Onkyo 709?


My two items are:


Roku w/ component out and optical audio out (the optical audio inputs are assignable and HDMI output on roku will not work with my TV. HDCP issue-green screen)


Wii w/ analog out (red/white) audio


The analog in for the Onkyo are not assignable and are pre-set for "Cable".


Am I **** out of luck here?

Hi pjk91, I assumed you have component cables (green,blue,red) for the Roko and Wii and not composite cables (yellow,red,white).


Connect component video cables and audio cables as follow:

- Roko video to Component IN-1 and Wii video to Component IN-2.

- Roko audio to OPT-1 and Wii audio to Game (red/white).


Go into Input/Output Assign Menu:

HDMI Input - assign BD/DVD and GAME to none (-----)


Component Video Input - assign BD/DVD to IN-1 (default) and GAME to IN-2


Digital Audio Input - assign BD/DVD to OPTICAL-1 and GAME to none (-----)
