I recorded Weekend Magazine with Stoned Phillips on MSNBC this weekend and just started watching it tonight. ReplayTV has a 2 minute commercial on how great ReplayTV is. I like the commercial--very informative and funny. Anyway, check it out if you can. Also, it mentions buying a ReplayTV with 8 payments of $50.

Cheers

If I could do $50.00 payments from my debit card, I'd get a Replay3060.

Even if it was 16 months.

If only she could be paused like my ReplayTV.

Shoot! I wish I'd seen that, even recorded it to show interested people. 2 minutes is about the attention span for my friends. Except that I wouldn't have been able to cut and paste it out of the show, and keep just the 2 minutes.

Maybe that would be a good theme! Probably not possible, since it won't show up in TMS.

So, how could we accomplish this... getting a really short 2 minute demo onto the boxes, for "show and tell"? D/L is the obvious answer, but we'd want a high res version, so that would take too long. I erased the demo that was on the box when I bought it, but that was too long anyway.

Any ideas? Anyone else interested in something like this?

Here's my suggestion: ReplayTV should definatly include this kind of stuff on their upcomming "ReplayTV Presents" shows (do a search, it's on TLC in a few days). Like TiVo Takes, what a better way to provide sponsored content and information about their product. In addition to the sponsored content, hopefully, it will contain some good commercials as well for ReplayTV. I'm not talking the "Boxing match" commercials, but more infomercial-like commercials.

This delivery method (broadcast on TLC) will do Several things:[*]allow anyone to see the show (TLC is pretty universal on most cable/satellite packages)[*]allow ReplayTV users to record some "demo" stuff.[*]Reduce dial-in server load by using over-the-air broadcasting of content
