You guys were a great help in assisting me in determining what things I should consider when choosing a sub.  I have been testing some friends subs in my HT and I can't believe how much variance in SQ I was noticing with various sub placements.  I also can't believe that the sound I want is going to require 2 subs!  I don't have a very large room and I'm not a huge basshead but one on each side of the couch in the main listening position was by far the best set up I tested.  That being said, I have narrowed it down to the PB1000 and the VTF-1 MK2.  Just wanted to get the experts' opinions before I pull the trigger.  The price difference is $15 so that's not a factor.  Are their specs virtually the same on paper? I have read the specs but I'm not experienced enough to interp[ret them effectively.  I wasn't able to test either of these subs in my HT.  I know SVS has the better warranty, I just want to know if one is superior to the other in a particular category.  I suppose the most important thing to be is low-bass response.  However, these are the 2 I'm choosing between, not taking others into consideration.

Thanks for taking the time to review my post.

The SVS has lower extension, true 20hz output. Plus the warranty and customer service is one of the best in the industry. I'd go for the SVS pair.

The PB-1000 has a deeper response.  The VTF-1 might play louder.  I would go with the SVS, but I like really deep bass.
