$2000 to spend, which FS TV?

I have ~$2000 to budgeted for a TV (using the best online prices).

The TV is going to be hung on an articulating mount (or at least a tilt and swivel) in a living room without controlled lighting including windows. Sources are digital cable or satellite + the occasional DVD. The main seating area is about 10 feet from the wall, and it will also be viewable from the kitchen up to 25 feet away (thus needs to be hung above furniture level)

I'm thinking 46" LCD (Samsung most likely) or the new 50" Panansonic Plasma with the anti-glare screen.

Any thoughts?

If you watch a lot of sports, I'd go with the Panasonic plasma.
I would really try to consider at least a 60 inch set. I have a 37 inch and sit about 8-9 feet away and it feels tiny, yes I know that 50 inch is much bigger than mine but I don't think it would make that much of an impact that a 60 inch could make. And from the kitchen 46 inches might require some eye squinting. Just my two cents. Good luck in your search.

Thanks and good points but this is a general purpose TV and I have to fit the cost into my total new house budget.

My HT room is wired for a front projector
