I've created an HTML file for Fall of 2003/2004, located here:

Fall 2003/2004

This will be a work in progress, as the WB doesn't even have a schedule that I can find yet. Please leave comments and corrections, and I will try to fix ASAP. Thanks.

Thank you dstarlin. I was looking for something like this.

A suggestion, if I may: if possible, can you use something in lieu of or in addition to just colors to indicate hdtv, etc.? That would make printing out on a non-color printer better.

On Fox Sunday you don't have "Malcolm in the Middle" listed as being 16x9. It has been "Fox Widescreen" for the past couple of seasons. Unless, of course, they've changed it back to 4x3.

I've updated Malcom in the Middle to 16X9, thanks Jr.

I also have Italicized all standard def stuff except WB as they have yet to post a fall schedule. This will allow for differentiation on a Black and white printer. Thanks Barth

Also, I changed the format view just a bit.

This is a work in progress, thanks for everyones comments. I will continue to update. Any suggestions/comments are appreciated.

FYI, the headers on the HTML file which define which network are actually clickable hyperlinks, leading you to that networks fall schedule.

Thanks for the work. Now I just hope that NBC decides to do real HD, instead of chopping off the top and bottom of a 4:3 image to get 16:9, as they did last year with Frazier and Ed. Maybe there should be a special category for shows with less image than their SD counterparts.

UPN did pull Twilight Zone. I also think that WB pulled Birds of Prey.

Angel and Smallville have been moved to Wednesday night, I think.

J,

I've got twilight Zone already. I think I'm gonna wait for the official web page for WB until I change it. Thanks for the response.

Ben,

I've updated OC to reflect the 16X9 format, and I changed the 16X9 color to yellow to make it stand out a bit more. Thanks for the info.

Wow is right. Finally, in response to the question, "But, what shows are in HDTV?", the answer is "Almost everything on the 3 major networks." Only 4 hours each week on each network are not... at least until several of these shows don't make it and are replaced with the nth reality-based stinkola.

Moreoever, there is not one minute in primetime in which there is nothing on in HDTV on the big 3. All hours are covered by something.

dstarlin -- thanks! This is a great help. I appreciate the work you did for the sake of all.

Great chart. This was much needed. I still don't understand why NBC does not have Friends or Will & Grace in HD this fall.

The colors of the grid are little rough. Maybe the AVS color scheme?

Also, Doesn't primetime start at 7pm on Sunday? I'm not sure if there is any HD to post there reguardless.

Cyclone,

I've changed the color scheme some to help with colors, and as for the 7:00 pm sunday time slot, I believe only Oliver Beene on Fox will even be in widescreen. Both CBS and NBC are running their respective news programs, and ABC is running America's Funniest Home videos, which will not be in HD obviously.

Thanks for the reply, let me know if you like the

new colors better.

The colors are fine, however is there a chance you can make up another chart that shows ONLY the HD & WS programming? That way there will be no worry about what colors or type of print the words are. At least that's what I had from last year. I don't remember where I downloaded that chart from though.

At least to me, it would look much cleaner and would be worth printing out and keeping for the season as a reference.

Thanks!

OK, for everyone who wanted an HD/widescreen only matrix

Fall 2003 HD/widescreen schedule

Any other ideas or issues?

Again, I'll update the WB when they have info available.
