Well, game 1 of the ALCS was on my dish but every playoff game since then was blacked out on 88 & 89. I have no idea why since this is an O&O market. Numerous attempts to reason with CSRs failed. But I kept checking and so far it looks like the game is on 88 tonight (just pre-game so far). Hopefully they won't black it out once the game starts...

Nah, they won't black it out once it starts. If it's on, your're good. Congrats.

All the camera shots look clean, don't seem to have the interference issues like in Boston.


Due to the rain there seems to be a bit more motion artifacts on the video.

Same situation in Tampa (O&O), got game 1 on ch. 88 but nothing since then. Nothing tonight either it looks like.

Same here in Cleveland (O&O) got game one on Ch 88....Been 721'd since then. Numerous calls and emails to D* haven't solved a thing....

Looks good on 88 here in So NJ. Philly OTA WTFX-DT (29-1) looks better as far as i can see but its tough to judge with all that crystal clear mist in the air. Production quality (so far) is much better than boston, and the NLCS games.

(although deep down i'd like to see a game 7 just for the View of Yankee stadum in HD.)



Is anyone else watching OTA getting a channel bug?

Picture still studdering, though, both on channel 88 and OTA here in Chicago. Every so often, the picture jumps back a few frames then studders forward. Been doing this every broadcast, so far.


At least we've lost the annoying blimp background noise of the past couple of nights - one good thing about tonight's low visibility.

Yes, it does this during the station ID.

This is the worst. they do this to display there call letters. I believe fox is not permitting O&O stations to display channel bugs. (see edited post above) I guess fox has realized that we do know what station were watching. And if i cant remember look up its right there in the ticker.

It's not a 100% FOX issue, each station has to display a legal ID at the top of every hour.

I have seen WNBC put their ID up over network HD programming with out having to switch to the SD feed.

Is that SD shudder a back and forth as mentioned or something going on when there's a camera shift? I've seen it about four times now... thought it was just a glitch at first. I don't remember that from the other nights, either....

There's a channel bug up on on WTXF, Fox-29 in Phila.


The picture shifts to SD with the ID along the bottom, then shifts back like 10 seconds later.


Very annoying.

It's stuttering once and a while here in Boston too (WFXT 25-1 OTA). I jumped on here to find out if anyone else was seeing it. It seems to drop a frame or two along with the audio. Happens every couple of minutes (though not in the last 5-10 min or so).


Of course the moment I said it hadn't happened, it happened again just as they came back on the air after a commercial break.

Well, I'm talking about something that seems to be happening a lot more often than 30-min IDs... I'll watch more carefully and see if I see a pattern (this is on 88, BTW...).
