Guys,

Lately I've noticed a white reflection-like spot in the middle of my screen that runs from the bottom to the top. It's not noticeable during night time viewing but it makes for a far less than satisfying daytime picture.

Anybody know exactly what this is and how I can fix it? I called Samsung and thier service company wants to charge me $90 just to come out here and tell me what i think I already know.

Here's some photo's...

The owner's manual says you may notice a light in the middle of the screen if the tv is positioned so that light is being reflected at the front of the screen. There is a mirror inside the tv and the light can be reflected back out if the room light hits it a certain way. That may be what is causing your reflection.

I appreciate your input and I'm not saying you're wrong but I've noticed the same spot(s) even when the TV is off at night and when there's very little light to reflect.

I have a hard time believing the following (pic updated today) is a product of a reflection because the spot is there at all times with the same amount of brightness (it never dulls) during the day. I think it is a reflection but I think it's more of a problem with the TV than the amount of light in my room.

It's just about unwatchable during daytime hours.
