So at http://www.hdsportsguide.com/nfl/ I see these games a being televised by a national network so is it safe to assume that these games will be nationally televised in addition to local local teams preseason games?

Keep in mind that this guide is showing preseason and regular season, I have the NFL ST with directv so regular season is not a concern but what I am asking about is preseason.

Most the NFL Network preseason games will be delayed, but 12 of them will be shown live.

NFL Network has 12 live preseason games.

8 is the number of regular season games NFL Network carries exclusive live.

Ken,

Do you know if the NFLN games will be shown OTA if the games involve a local sports team's market (or will the game be offered to local stations for air)?

Yes, there are always nationally broadcast preseason games. Also, NFL Network will be showing every preseason game, in HD.

I still wonder about that. For instance, WKRN in Nashville broadcasts the local preseason Titans games, and they never have shown games in HD. Their local news is also in SD. I would just be surprised if they actually show those games in HD, at least in the half that the Titans are shown.

I posted the same concerns in a previous thread, because the situation in Detroit is very similar. But it was noted that this upcoming season was the first one that the NFL mandated had to be 100% HD, and it's possible that the mandate extends down to preseason games as well.
