OK guys, FINALLY decided the 52Z5100 was the best '09 Sony model for my situation (though not available from any of my favorite sites), but now to slot it against a newly arriving fairly comparable price-wise '10 model (52EX700). The NX800 line is a bit too steep for me. Still can't find any info on the '10 screens though as far as whether they are matte, semi-matte, glossy...

EX700 is LED Edge Lit and it's contrast ratio should be over one million to one and should equal better blacks/details. The CR numbers I obtained from a Denmark Website where they have all Sony LED at a minimum of one million to one versus the 100K:1 of the "Z".

Not that those numbers have anything to do with it's actual performance...
