Wow...this thread is quiet...however, I have to say..I am watching Chicago Comcast feed on NBC SPorts HD channel and there is absolutely no sound coming out of the rears...its almost as if only the Center channel is getting any of the feed.

Come on Hawks!

Noooooooo to NBC! I am viewing the Chicago COMCAST feeds on these games and while the signal is 5.1, I swear all the audio is coming out of the Center or just the 2 fronts. Horrible. (I have checked my setup, its the feed on the game broadcast only).

Please, someone ping the audio engineers that can help fix this!

They're no longer doing the NHL playoffs in 5.1 on NBC[I know not why but they aren't and haven't for a few years].

Thank you for the information, even if its not something I want to hear, at least I have something to go on....I dont know why either, its terrible, for 2015, to not have 5.1 on such an event.

Disappointed.

It's a hockey game, not a symphony orchestra or a big-budget action flick.
Plain old stereophonic sound is fine by me. Even monophonic would be fine.
I'm just glad to have primetime hockey available OTA for most of the Cup finals.

For me, when the broadcast is a 5.1 feed, I expect to hear from all speakers...when I don't, I start troubleshooting my system...see, that is the problem...I don't want to think anything is wrong and want to enjoy the game.

Had the feed been 2.0, I probably would not have posted, or my post would have been of a different subject matter.

However, its 2015, HD should be that...in both audio and visual.

I'm not. Can't stand the coverage and don't understand why people like Emrick. His voice is annoying and his references are forced and uninteresting. I try to sync the video with our local radio here in Tampa and I am sure the Chicago folks will do the same. Unfortunately, whenever there is a commercial break I struggle to resync it, since they fall farther behind on TV because they MUST fit in all of the commercial time. Wish the playoff teams could opt to watch with the local crew we enjoy all season. And I couldn't stand Emrick when he broadcast the Olympics either and the entire NBC sports crew was so heavily favoring the Rangers it was ridiculous.

Are they still doing those segments with Pierre "inside the glass"? Sounds like an ad campaign for Beaujolais.

"Lightning strikes, maybe once, maybe twice ..."

Sorry, Stevie, you don't know diddly about hockey.
The Blackhawks are the ones who strike twice.

Great game by Callahan on Saturday; Stralman was good, but was out maneuvered once in front of the net resulting in a goal. Boyle also played well.

Let Go Rangers!

Cold steel on ice. Gotta love it.

Both teams matchup very evenly, but Crawford's slightly better than Tampa's goalies. Callahan was excellent in the 1st and 2nd periods, but disappeared in the 3rd when most needed.

Great series among many this year, but the playoff schedule takes far too much time.

Bettman apparently again talking expansion. How many more cities exist that haven't had a franchise?

Seattle is the obvious expansion choice in the U.S.
Some people say Kansas City might be interested, too.
KC did have an NHL team very briefly in the 1970's.
